He was awful as John Connor to the point where I was hoping Skynet would indeed wipe out humanity.<br /><br />Though I generally disliked the time travel episodes in the Star Trek TV series, it worked brilliantly as a plot device to reboot the franchise.<br /><br />Avatar was simply a visual treat and all the better seeing on a big screen in 3D (thank you Vue Exeter). I just wished they&#39;d made the story less predictable or at least throw in a couple of twists. Still 9.5/10 with 10/10 going to one film you haven&#39;t mentioned, District 9...<br /><br />Never before as a film make me so sympathetic to characters or have me urging aloud in a cinema for the good guys to pummel the bad. For me this was the best sci-fi film of the year,out of the ones I&#39;ve seen.<br /><br />This leaves me with Moon, which missed me by down here in Torbay. Hopefully I&#39;ll be able to see it on DVD or Blu-ray soon. Not only that, the battery will still run down (albeit more slowly) and the thing will eventually switch itself off! <br /><br />Just try connecting it via USB and leave it on overnight! It is a superb evolution of the original, with endless variety, easy controls and the all-too-necessary growth in skill. But the genius of being able to play the game to your own music, AND that the game changes to each track, so you have an infinite number of levels and styles...well, huzzah for the developers. At long last a truly addictive game for the iPhone.
