Star Wars Villain Set 3 Pack from Gentle Giant

During the late 1970s, following the release of Star Wars: A New Hope, Kenner Star Wars action figures, vehicles, playsets and accessories were a staple of many fans childhood. My favourite non-movie vehicle was the Imperial Troop Transporter, which was recently featured in Star Wars Rebels on Disney XD.

Gentle Giant's 12" scale figures are based on the original 3 3/4" Kenner line of action figures and includes Zuckuss, Leia in Boussh bounty hunter disguise and many more.

Hasbro announces Star Wars Black Series

Hasbro and Gentle Giant are set to release a new series of 6" action figures later this year.

Under the banner of Star Wars Black Series. The first wave, due out in the summer, includes Luke Skywalker in his X-Wing Fighter flight suit, R2-D2, Darth Maul and an Imperial Sandtrooper.

"We consider them the best figures that Hasbro's ever produced for 'Star Wars' that meets the sensibilities of romancing the character as well as the playability and poseability that fans really appreciate," says Derryl DePriest, Hasbro vice president of boys marketing.
