The working title for Star Wars Episode VII is The Ancient Fear according to Harry Knowles at Ain't It Cool News (one of the very first websites I bookmarked in 1998).
This allegedly refers to Max von Sydow‘s character, Knowles says. Will Sydow play Darth Plagueis who was Senator Palpatine's old master?
It taps into the saga's mythology and ties in elegantly with A New Hope and The Phantom Menace. However, the latter was derided by some fans for sounding like a Scooby-Doo yarn! The Balance of the Force sounded so much better.
