Tom Baker to voice a character in Star Wars

An actor, synonymous with playing one of my childhood heroes, is about to make his debut in a galaxy far, far away...

Tom Baker, famous for his portrayal of Doctor Who's fourth incarnation, made a cryptic reference to appearing in Star Wars during the Day of the Doctors convention in Slough. That's according to Sci-Fi Fantasy Network.

“I’m going to be in this new Star Wars thing, you know?” Tom told eager fans as he signed autographs. “I’m going down to record some voices for this new character they’ve created for me, very soon.”

Could the veteran actor be recording a part for The Force Awakens, Star Wars Rebels or Rogue One? If - and that's a big if - it's The Force Awakens, December is going to be very special indeed.

It's worth noting that another former Doctor Who, David Tennant, has appeared in the Star Wars franchise. Tennant voiced Huyang, earning himself an Emmy Award, in The Clone Wars.

Feel free to speculate in the comments below.
