Legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese (Taxi Driver) stars in The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Lucasfilm confirmed this on X (formerly Twitter) following fan speculation that a familiar voice can be heard in the latest trailer for the upcoming movie based on the fan-favourite Star Wars spin-off series on Disney+.
Absolute cinema.
Scorsese plays an Ardennian fry cook.
Read the official synopsis:
"The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu (as himself)."
