Marvel Studios has dropped an official trailer for Echo, starring Alaqua Cox as the titular character. Rated TV-MA, the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) live-action spin-off series harkens back to Daredevil on Netflix. Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio reprise the roles of Daredevil and Kingpin respectively.

"Streaming exclusively on Disney, the origin story of Echo revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward."
Echo made her MCU debut in Hawkeye on Disney+ in 2021.
Echo streams exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu on the 10th of January 2024.

With the arrival of Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) in Marvel Studios' Hawkeye and Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) in Ms. Marvel, Young Avengers assemble.
Ms. Marvel, which is rumoured to dovetail into the Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels, premieres exclusively on Disney+ on 8th June.

Before WandaVision, there was Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders exclusively on Netflix.
Personally, I really enjoyed Daredevil when it debuted back in 2015 and was quoted in publicity for a series that championed diversity. Marvel's live-action spin-off series on Netflix were all cancelled in 2018 and have now left the streaming service before moving to Disney+, beginning in Canada, later this month.
Unlike Marvel's Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. already available on Disney+ in the UK. Due to the graphic nature of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) spin-offs on Netflix, it's assumed they'll be available on Star on Disney+ outside the US.
Daredevil (Charlie Cox) most recently appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) in Marvel Studios' Hawkeye.
In related news. Marvel Studios' Moon Knight will begin streaming on 30th March on Disney+.

Marvel Studios dropped a trailer for Moon Knight during Monday night's NFL Super Wild Card matchup on ESPN and ABC.
Moon Knight, starring Oscar Isaac (Star Wars) as the titular cult superhero with more than a passing resemblance to DC Comics' Batman, looks like it's going to continue the excellence of Marvel Studios' WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If...? and Hawkeye on Disney+.
“The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life,” Marvel’s official synopsis says. “Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.”
Moon Knight will begin streaming 30th March on Disney+.

As many fans (myself included) had speculated. Vincent D'Onofrio is reprising the iconic role of Wilson Fisk AKA Kingpin (Daredevil) in Hawkeye on Disney+.
Fisk can be seen photographed with Kate Bishop's (Hailee Steinfeld) mother, Eleanor (Vera Farmiga). Is Eleanor the big bad? After the emotional rollercoaster ride of last week's episode, following the fallout from the battle between Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), Kate, Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), anything is possible.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year..." Marvel Studios' Hawkeye premieres this Thanksgiving on Disney+ and there's a new look at the upcoming live-action spin-off series ahead of Disney+ Day.
This could be the most festive fun since Iron Man 3. Jeremy Renner reprises his role as Hawkeye, who teams up with another well-known archer from Marvel Comics, Kate Bishop, played by Oscar-nominee Hailee Steinfeld (Dickinson).
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW), Steinfeld and executive producer Trinh Tran shared their thoughts on the upcoming series. Steinfeld said, "Diving into all the information out there on Kate Bishop felt like a dream." She's stoked to be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). "It's very, very exciting to be in the MCU at all. I still haven't been able to get over that."
Tran confirms Hawkeye takes inspiration from the acclaimed Fraction/Aja comic book series:
"The Fraction/Aja style and tone is what we were really gravitating towards. Once they encounter each other and go off on this journey together, there's so much they can bounce off each other."

Marvel Studios has been crushing it in 2021 with its Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) spin-off series on Disney+. From WandaVision to What If...?, it's been unmissable character-driven viewing for all true believers (myself included).
On Monday, Disney+ dropped some early holiday cheer with an official teaser trailer for Marvel Studios' Hawkeye.

"Disney+ and Marvel Studios invite you on an unexpected holiday getaway, unwrapping a brand-new teaser trailer and poster today for “Hawkeye,” a new series set in post-blip New York City. Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit."
Jeremy Renner reprises his role as Hawkeye, who teams up with another well-known archer from Marvel Comics, Kate Bishop, played by Oscar-nominee Hailee Steinfeld (Bumblebee).
Renner described Steinfeld's character to Entertainment Weekly (EW) by saying, “[Kate is] a 22-year-old kid and she’s a big Hawkeye fan. She has a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her, because she’s such a fangirl of Hawkeye. The relationship grows from that, but the biggest problem for Clint is Kate Bishop and the onslaught of problems that she brings into his life.”
The trappings of the holiday season certainly allow for comparisons with MCU stablemate Iron Man 3 and Die Hard and Home Alone (both available on Star on Disney+). Hawkeye is rumoured to tie into Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Hawkeye debuts in time for Thanksgiving on Disney+ on 24th November.

Hailee Steinfeld has been linked with the Hawkeye spin-off series for Disney+ for over a year.
Filming for the live-action spin-off series was delayed due to the pandemic but now the actress can be seen as Kate Bishop (in a comic-accurate costume) alongside Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye.
Barton is expected to pass on the baton of Hawkeye to Bishop in the limited-run series. The character of Bishop will most likely appear in further spin-offs and movies.
Hawkeye will also star Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Fra Fee as The Clown, Tony Dalton as Swordsman, Alaqua Cox as Echo and Florence Pugh reprising the role of Yelena Belova from Black Widow.
In related news. Charlie Cox will reprise the role of Daredevil in Spider-Man 3. Cox will play Peter Parker's lawyer in the multiverse-spanning adventure.
WandaVision will be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) spin-off on Disney+ starting this January, which nicely coincides with my birthday. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will follow later in the year.

Variety has exclusively revealed Hailee Steinfeld (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) is under consideration for a lead role in Hawkeye, the live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) spin-off series for Disney+.
Steinfeld would play Kate Bishop, alongside Jeremy Renner reprising the titular role from the MCU, who is a member of the Young Avengers. Clint Barton is expected to pass on the baton of Hawkeye to Bishop in the limited-run series. The character of Bishop will most likely appear in further spin-offs and movies.
Disney+ has a raft of exclusive Marvel series in production including Loki, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms Jeremy Renner will reprise the role of Hawkeye for Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, which begins shooting in the next few weeks.
Renner joins a star-studded cast including Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson who appeared with Evans in The Winter Soldier. Aside from half of the Avengers cast, Civil War will also feature Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther, Anthony Mackie as the Falcon, Frank Grillo as Crossbones, Daniel Bruhl as Baron Zemo, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, and, possibly, Spider-Man.
